EXFO partners with SUSE to deliver real-time network visibility in cloud-native networks

Equip service providers to monitor and measure network performance in real time

This collaboration aims to solve important problems for communication service providers. According to the latest joint research results from Heavy Reading and EXFO, 69% of CSPs agreed that detecting and correlating 5G network outages is more complex in cloud infrastructures, compared to non-cloud legacy networks.1 74% of CSPs also believe that correlating outages in cloud-based infrastructure is difficult due to lack of visibility or access to tools to correlate these outages. Additionally, 1 in 5 CSPs believe that fault isolation in a specific standalone (SA) or non-standalone (NSA) 5G link domain takes more than 75% of the total time to resolution. In comparison, only 4% of CSPs believe this is the case in 4G networks.

To help address these challenges, EXFO has developed its Active u-Verifier: a cloud-native, automated service assurance solution that deploys, monitors and adaptively scales on-demand surveying. With SUSE Rancher orchestration, EXFO’s Active u-Verifier can be deployed along the network service path to provide comprehensive network performance visibility across virtual and cloud-native functions. The solution functions as a test generator to support network segmentation and mesh testing requirements.
